Donna Castellano (Angela)

Donna is excited to be joining the cast of “My Big Gay Italian Funeral”  and continuing her role in the “My Big Gay Italian Wedding”.  In addition to many Off-Off Broadway and Cabaret performance roles, Donna has also performed comedic characters on- camera and voice over roles on the Late Show With David Letterman; Saturday Night Live; Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and The Soprano’s. 

Anthony Wilkinson (Anthony/Writer)

Is a graduate of NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences, three time Daytime Emmy Award winner, and four time recipient of the Directors Guild of America Award for his work on ABC’s “One Life to Live.”  Anthony’s original production of My Big Gay Italian Wedding opened Off-Broadway in 2003 at the Actor’s Playhouse before moving to Theatre Four.  In 2006, Anthony wrote and played the role of Rio in the Off-Broadway musical Boys Just Wanna Have Fun.  Anthony restaged My Big Gay Italian Wedding in September 2009 at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, and from there transitioned to an Equity show here at St. Luke’s Theatre.  In 2011, Anthony moved to Dallas where he worrked as an on air personality for Good Morning Texas and NorthPark Television.  In June of 2013, he moved back to New York City and opened the sequel to the wedding.  My Big Gay Italian Funeral, now running in repertory with the wedding here at St. Lukes.  Anthony is currently an acting instructor with Scott Powers Studios and is actively involved in speaking with schools on anti-bullying.  Most of his videos can be found on YouTube and he remains active on social media.

Marissa Rosen (Maria)

Marissa is so excited to be back with her Big Gay Family! Most recently she was seen as the leading lady in the Off Broadway production of Bedbugs the Musical. She has toured regionally and internationally with some of her favorite credits including JAWBREAKER, Grease, Legally Blonde, Bare, Footloose, Urinetown, Smokey Joe's Cafe & Into the Woods. You can catch her every Monday night with Marty Thomas Presents DIVA at Industry Bar & Fridays at New World Stages. Forever for my family. @themarissarosen 

Danny Bernardy (Andrew)

Debra Toscano (Aunt Toniann)

Debra is delighted to join the cast of the MBGIF.  Credits include “Sister” in Sister’s Christmas Catechism, “Carol” in Girls Night, Singing the National Anthem for all the major NY/NJ sports teams, and was a winning contestant on “Don’t Forget the Lyrics.”  Too many credits to mention, so checkout her website   Thanks to my family for all their love and support.

Hugh Hysell (Maurizio)

As a performer, Hugh’s credits include the national tours of Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, The Pirates of Penzance and The Fantasticks. Other NYC credits include 54 Below, Metropolitan Room, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Town Hall and many others. Chad Kessler (Joe / Father Rosalia)

Chad is ecstatic to be reunited with his Big Gay Italian Family, having originated the role of Father Rosalia in “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” and the dual role of Carmine/Pontessa in Boys Just Wanna Have Fun.  Most recently he co-wrote and produced The Groove Factory, a sold out hit at the 2012 NY Musical Theater Festival and currently work shopping his solo show “Shiva Makes You Fat”, mentored by St. Luke’s “alum” Judy Gold. Training NYU/Tisch and RADA.

Meagan Robar (Connie)

Meagan is thrilled to be apart of the fantastic cast of MBGIF! No stranger to the St. Luke's Theatre, Meagan has portrayed 'Connie' in the prequel My Big Gay Italian Wedding since it opened in 2011.  Meagan has earned her BFA in Acting from the University of the Arts and has also trained in London at the British American Drama Academy.  Film/TV: "Step Up 3D", "Gossip Girl", "The Onion News Network", "Girlhattan", "MTV's The College Humor Show". Liz Gerecitano (Lucia)

Got her BFA in acting from Montclair State University.  Other Off-Broadway credits: “Tina” in Tony and Tina’s Wedding and “Teresa” in Italian American Reconciliation. Most recently, Liz played the role of Theresa in "The Fitzgerald Family Christmas", a film by Ed Burns that debuted at the Toronto Film Festival. love to her family for all their support, and to her husband, for always being her biggest fan.

In January of 2011, Samuel French signed on to represent the show and began licensing.  Aside from New York City, the show has already played in the U.S. in El Paso, Omaha, Louisville, Los Angeles, Fountain City, Buffalo and Greensboro.  Internationally, the show has played in Scotland, France, China and has had 3 successful runs in London.  The show continues to make its way across the globe and is available for licensing.  For licensing information please contact Samuel French in NYC.

David James Boyd (original music and  lyrics, musical director)

As a producer, multiple top 50 Billboard Dance chart-toppers. As composer/lyricist, his musicals include THE GROOVE FACTORY(NYMF) and STEPCHILD. His songs have appeared on television(THE A LIST:NY), the web soap EMPIRE, and in the films BEAR CITY 2 and RAID OF THE RAINBOW LOUNGE. BIG GAY music is available on ITUNES!

J. Austin Eyer (Choreographer)

Austin is excited to return to his Big Gay family. He last choreographed Stinkykids the Musical (which won the Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family Musical) and The Brain that Wouldn’t Die for the NYMF festival.  OFF BROADWAY: Boys Just Wanna Have Fun.  He has choreographed for the Macy’s Parade, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Disney and Universal Studios.  His credits as a Performer include - BROADWAY: Evita, How to Succeed, Billy Elliot (u/s Tony), The Little Mermaid (u/s Prince Eric), Curtains, The Secret Garden (Colin). 22Q Entertainment (General Manager)

22Q Entertainment LLC produces, manages and casts live events and theatre. Since it's inception, 22Q Entertainment has hit the ground running. For the last two years, they have teamed with the Oxygen TV network, associate producing their Up-Front live events. Most recently they have become sought-after producers in the "site-specific" world of producing along with IT IS DONE set in a bar (a critical success in it's New York debut). They were also the producers of the New York City premiere of The Spoon River Project, which played under the stars and among the stones at the historic Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Sonia Blangiardo (Director)

Currently the supervising producer and director for TOLN’S ALL MY CHILDREN and has worked in television for over 20 years as a producer/director for ABC’s GENERAL HOSPITAL, ONE LIFE TO LIVE and CBS’ AS THE WORLD TURNS.  She has won two Emmys for producing and directing.  Ms. Blangiardo also directed and produced BOYS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN and MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING.  In addition she is the creator of the original web-series, TAINTED DREAMS, slated to shoot in June. She is also in pre-production for C.A.W.L. (College Arm Wrestling League) TO ARMS, a new competitive reality show slated to air on ESPN in October. 

She is the founder of Carlo’s Goal, a non for profit organization for pancreatic cancer research which has raised over $30,000.

Teresa Cicala (Media Producer)

has worked in network television for over eighteen years, and is the recipient of four Emmys and several Director’s Guild Awards. She has worked as an Associate Director and Editor on One Life to Live, and as an editor on a variety of shows, including The ChewTainted DreamsVenice:the SeriesFeed the Beast, Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids, and 90 Days to Wed. In 2007, she collaborated with playwright Anthony Wilkinson on the script for BOYS JUST WANNA 6

Robert Levinstein (Production Stage Manager)

Broadway: Waiting in the Wings, Voices in the Dark, Parade; Off-Broadway:  Clue: The Musical, and National Tours: Disney's Beauty and The Beast, Camelot and the hit revue Forbidden Broadway. Most recently, Robert was the Associate Producer at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine and currently is Executive Producer for 22Q Entertainment LLC which he formed in 2011.

Sandra Trullinger (Assistant Stage Manager)

Jaclyn Pipolo (Wardrobe Supervisor)

Jaclyn is thrilled to join the MBGIW family!! A native New Yorker, Jaclyn is excited to be back home after recently graduating from Emerson College where she earned her B.A. in Acting. She is so thankful to the cast and crew for welcoming her with open arms!

Frankie Palumbo (Marketing)

Frankie is thrilled beyond belief to have the opportunity to be working with his extended Big Gay Italian Family once again. Frankie joined the company in May of 2009 during the previous run of My Big Gay Italian Wedding. He operates the merchandise booth in the lobby of the theater and once again is the coordinator of The Higher the Hair the Closer to God contest. Past affiliates include Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man, Annie, Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of Oz, Grease, and Leader of the Pack with the UHSPAC.
